Vitamin and Mineral supplements and raised BP

Posted , 1 user is following.

I've been off BP medication for approx 10 months, but still monitor my BP - at least once each month.

I recently started taking a daily multi vitamin and mineral supplement, and have noticed my BP rising again.  (Previously, I stopped taking the supplement when taking BP med because it seemed to raise my BP).

Has anyone else found an adverse link between vitamin and/or mineral supplements and raised BP.  If so, any particular vitamin or mineral that seems to be causing the problem?

Have you thought about getting a wristband that tells time, hr,BP, calories used, pedometer, sleep monitor. I picked up a moderate priced Smartband via Amazon. I find the results spot on and helpful for peace of mind. My concern is White Coat Syndrome. I moved to a new state with a new family doctor. She doesn't believe in WCS and is trying to force no meds. It's crazy. I've never had high BP only WCS. Guess what the simple wristband Smartband has helped. I can track my daily data and show the family doctor. This is all just a thought. I hope you do well. Post again when you are able.

Sorry new doctor is trying to force no meds which I will not take. Any you other question yes I was using a daily multi vitamin 50+ adult which had too much extra vitamin in it. Reeked havoc for a month or so before switching back to the normal multi vitamin. Be careful. Good luck.
