Hi everyone I have been taking vitamin D to help with bones. Does anyone know the dosage post menopausal ladies should be taking Thanks x

    Hi, I thought calcium is the one for the bones

      my understanding is that we need vitamin D to help our body absorb calcium that we intake.

    Just read in an article _it says

    Because calcium intake tends to decrease with age, calcium supplementation is especially important in postmenopausal women. Vitamin D is also fundamental to bone health, because it is essential for optimal calcium absorption.

    I take vit D because I read that it helps with many things. I also take calcium so between the both, I'm covered.

    The maximum you can take 1000IU. But the best is after while, you get your level check.
