vitamin D deficiency

I'm still feeling pretty rotten after being on sertraline since before Christmas. I'm up to 150mg. The constant panic attacks and palpitations have stopped and my anxiety has almost gone. I can drive, go in shops ( quickly) and can actually go to the doctors rather than him come to me. I am however still off work and I'm still not managing to walk anywhere really without feeling as if I need a wall next to me to tap ( so I know I am real if you know what I mean)

Anyway I went to the doctors and had 7 blood tests for various things and one came back as my vitamin D levels low. After googling , as you do, I discovered that a lot of the stuff going on with my body could well be due to this deficiency. I have been put on a high dose vit D course for 2 weeks. I hope it helps. Anyone else been deficient in vit D? Stories please.

May the force be with us all

Actually I am on vitamin D2, I didn't know why at first, plus 50 mg Zoloft, and my epilepsy meds, wich is the main reason I'm on Zoloft, because I take, Keppra, Dilantin and Phenobarbital, the Keppra is the only reason I'm on Zoloft for my anger issues, it's helping, but kinda on and off, but at least I know when I'm about to start getting frustrated, and now that I remember, I usually calm down now before I do something stupid that I will regret. Hope you do well, and God bless.

    Hello

I haven’t been on this forum for a while. I remember you posting that you have tinnitus and this is the symptom that led to me being so mentally unwell.

I’ve heard mixed reports about the effect of vitamin D on T and would be interested to know if yours improves. Maybe it’s already gone though? Any way it’s good that you are doing so well.

I hope you are well Eve. I have always had tinnitus..I thought it was normal and that everyone had it when I was younger. It has never really bothered me as it's just sort of part of me. It has however got a bit louder with the sert. I have only just started the vit D course but I will monitor my tinitus and let you know. It may be worth you having a blood test to check your vit D

Thank you for your reply Hoopz. I’m much better than I was although still

with worsened T and anxiety. I had my bloods taken 10 days ago as I couldn’t understand why I was so exhausted and still very anxious. All came back as fine!

I was in a RTC one month ago and Dr suggests that this won’t have helped  symptoms. I’ll take the supplements I have bought anyway.

Good luck with your Hospital proceedure.

    Best wishes

    Eve
