Vitamin D on blood test order

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi guys, sorry if this has been posted before but was just wondering if anyone knows what his means.

On my blood test order (suspected rheumatoid arthritis) the vitamin D test has extra writing with it, it goes : Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) (GP) (considered at risk= Yes , High dose treatment cons = Yes) what on earth is this at risk/cons thing about? Never seen it before. I've already had the blood test, been waiting 2 weeks for results, they've said they might be available tomorrow so was curious as to what this means

Thanks in advance! x

Sorry I couldn't be of more help on this one.  That is very odd.  I never heard of it before either.  What's also odd, is that you have been waiting 2 weeks for blood work results.  Usually it's only a few days.

It was such a long wait, was beginning to think they'd lost them, Im in the UK though so the NHS can take a while but usually a week at most.

got the results today and they said everything came back normal smile
