Yes, my Dr. Said capsules only. Gotta pop it but it's a great long lasting barrier.

Ellen and Beth ~ I'm assuming your doc said that to be sure you wouldn't mistakenly buy a mixture of something with too many additives. The liquid I get from the health food store is however pure Vitamin E in a simple carrier oil same as would be found in a capsule.
Another explanation might be having to do with WHERE he was expecting you to use it. If in the vagina, then the capsule would be a whole lot easier to insert and I read some time ago from some other site that the capsules dissolve easily from our own body heat.
Third possible rationale for a doc to say that ~ grin: well, he must get in the habit of saying that just to be sure some idiot patients don't go by dry vitamin e without thinking about how it's meant to be used.

Hi Nancy, Are you feeling any better lately. I just had the best news ever this morning. I actually got a phone call from the gaeny at my hospital on Friday to ask me in this morning to have a look at my LS ( new specialist, my other one retired ) and lo and behold I don't have LS. Can you imagine the feeling, Still in total shock. Its what I said all along. An estrogen defiency. I saw 4 different lady doctors at the surgery and they all said LS. I couldn't understand how I never itched, or my diet had no effect on it. They have to give me back my HRT now thank god. He said it was quality versus quantity and I had no quality of life. Amazing result. I have been a fraud all along. I really wish you and all the ladies on here all the best and keep as well as you can
Kind regards
Linda

Oh MY! LInda, how great for you. and thank you I am feeling better even though my new supplements haven't arrived yet. smiles - by the by, My Doctor who I just recently, asked me if I was still taking the wild yam cream that he had advised over a year ago (before I know I had LS).. which I had used occasionally but never got into the habit. He wanted to know if it was "working" but I had no way of determining that.
Anyhow - Please don't leave us yet. Let us know if bit more about what you new Doc said. Like, what did he base his estimation on that you do not have LS? I mean what did your other THREE docs see that he hasn't? for instance. Did he do some kind of estrogen TEST that the others never did?
I guess I'm wondering about the BOTH/AND scenario. I also like the concept of QUALITY of life over QUANTITY of Life. but gee, what about the both. I had to go back to your postings to remember that you HAVE in fact mentioned that you've had other autoimmune diseases, dearheart.... So PLEASE for your sake don't go getting so giddy over not having lichen that you stop the supplements that aid ALL autoimmune issues. GRIN - they will help withe the QUANTITY..
Blessings and much love to you, Linda

I had repeated UTI's and painful intercourse , no itching as I said. The clob didn't seem to work after using every day for 4 weeks. I started using Aloe Vera Gel and it has greatly reduced the white skin to almost nothing.

HI Janie, for the external stuff I alternate between the aloe gel with tumeric & Frankincense; straight vitamin E; A&D ointment (zinc oxide) as needed; olive oil or sesame oil occasionally and I used to use coconut oil until one of the women here mentioned olive oil.
AND I learned my lesson, as you may have read about running out of Vitamin D3/K2 and A and magnesium 6 weeks ago and conveniently "forgetting" to reorder them OR take any of the others until I got them again. Well, I did get the magnesium last week... and if there is any relationship to it, I feel better already.
SO glad tohear your night "on the town" has had a happy ending... smiles.

Please could you recommend a good quality vitamin e oil capsule in the UK, as I would like to try this. I didn't have much success with olive oil, but perhaps this would be better.
Many thanks.
