vitaminsthat may help COPD

i have had COPD for approx 10yrs maybe longer (i am 69) but have always tried to not let it get the better of me & alter my life too much-my doctor gave me a budisimide (powdered inhaler) to replace my "brown" one a few yrs ago & along with the blue reliever, nebuliser when flare ups occur along with antibiotics & steroids i,ve managed ok-however the last 12 months i have been under a lot of stress, mainly being the carer for my husband who is not a good patient to say the least & i walk on egg shells most days to keep the peace-this i,m sure has affected my COPD - i have concentrated more on him than myself, not eaten properly, taken over all chores etc & now i,m trying to get on my feet again-i have been trying to see wether there are any vitimins that would help & although vit d,e,c,a & coq10 have been mentioned no daily measurment has been mentioned-has anyone found vitimins to be helpful if so in what dosage ? i,ve also thought that i would give acupunture a try even if just to stop the anxiety,m always feeling which i know does not help my breathing-when i am in the house i am constantly anxious with pains here there & everywhere yet when i can buck myself up to go out for a few hours the "pains" go !! has anyone any advice please-at the moment i am just getting over a bout of gastric entiritus & a chest infection but am getting better & want to try & improve things as much as i can - thankyou in advance

hi nanny & happy belated birthday to you - i hope you had a good day & some nice pressies - hows the latest bout of infection going ? i do hope that the tabs kick in quickly & you start to feel better,do you have to have many "courses" of antibiotics & steroids in a year? i have asked to join d/cummings page on F/B as well - was having a read through some of his blogs last night-very interesting - i went out this evening for the first time since 27th dec,car right outside,& 2 hrs over at my sons with the family-i wrapped up warm, thick scarf around my mouth & nose & really enjoyed the laugh we all had-i,m hoping that maybe i,ve turned the corner now although i,m still not about to push it - lol - as derek says winter is our worst time & don,t we know it ! one of the main things that i have learnt from everybodys comments is to "keep moving" no matter how little just move & buildup - will keep in touch nanny & i wish you all the luck in the world - xx

Hi Sally ,,,,birthday is this Saturday ,,,,,so looking forward to quality time with my family ,my daughter has told me she has something planned ,,,,,and I'm not worry ,,,as there will be no walking involved,,,,,haha,

yes the pills are kicking in nicely ,and I've had 5 days In bed complete rest ,so yesterday it was up and move about,,,just around the house ,,I held onto the back of the chair and a few sqats for 2 mins ,,,,,I did that 3 times just to get my legs going ,and I will build on that,,,,,in answer to your question about how many times do I have antibiotics ,,,,well that's a difficult one,,,,,as up until last year i could go a couple of years without needing them,,,,,but then if I get an infection ,my body is so stubborn it can take 2/3/4 lots to finally dump the bug, I think if I can get to the gym twice a week for an hours exersise ,,,,,,it helps me keep well,,,,,,and just hope I don't get infections, thankyou so much for taking the time to chat to me .and I'm so pleased you enjoyed your time with your family,,,,sometimes that's all we need isn't it ,,,a chat with family and friends is the best pick me up,,,,,,I will let you know how the birthday goes ,,,,,haha,
