I am following up on my formal thread .
I am thinking of having Vivity lens on my near eyes.
Can anyone share your peroneal experience especially your Vivity lens that set to see near?
I look at old thread from here it almost 2 years . How are you doing with your Vivity lens ?
Can see near clearly?
You still need spectacle to see near ?
What your setting at - 0.1 D for your near eyes or only 0.5 D?
Any info will be wonderful.

.
While there may still be time to edit, did you mean to type -1.0 D instead of 0.1 D?

I have two Vivity lenses in a mini-monovision configuration and I am very happy with it. I think you can search on my name to find my old posts. My near eye is about -1.0D. I do not wear glasses indoors ever, and I find reading very comfortable, except for things like magazines in low light (those creative font and color design choices are not always easy to read).
It's now almost 2 years since my surgeries and no regrets.

Hi Laurie ,
Great to hear from you. Thank you for sharing.
It it perfect for driving too? Can you see newspaper easy with room light?

Newspaper no problem...though I never read printed newspapers these days. I do read books of all sorts, and many paperbacks have font smaller than newspapers. I find reading very comfortable unless the light is very low.
As for driving, remember that one eye is set for distance. The two eyes together provide good binocular vision. I can drive without glasses. However, because I dislike bright sunlight, and would wear sunglasses in bright conditions anyway, I got prescription sunglasses to correct the vision of my near eye. If it is not very sunny, I don't wear them.
For night driving, I can drive without glasses. But I have clear distance-only glasses that I keep in the car for use in bad weather, or unfamiliar places. I wore glasses all my life so it never bothers me to wear them for certain circumstances.
But if BOTH eyes were at -1.0D it would not be comfortable for driving. It wasn't clear what your plan is for both eyes.

II use to wear glasses since age 10 to see far. But I got cataract on my right and mild cataract on my left.
I went to do my Cataract on my right and replace it with J&J Eyhance lens in Aug 2023.
My present reading for my eye both is as below after surgery
.
Right: Sphere +0.00 Cylinder -0.50 Axis 160 Dist VA 6/6 -2 Add +2.25 Near VA N5
Left : Sphere -3.25 Cylinder -1.00 Axis 40 Dist VA 6/7.5+2 Add +2.25 Near VA N5
.
Presently Monovision coping well unaided.
Doctor advise me if I ok with it, The second surgery can wait longer .He give me a 6 month appointment.
I need help as I have very poor immediate vision. I cannot see well in computer distance. Although I can see fine print using my own left eye . I need to wear a -1.25 glass to see better during work but i feel dizzy
if i move my head to much .
If I am not working . I am glasses free. I can read my handphone (Left eye ) watch TV (Right eye) .
I do not drive by the way. Although I got driving License.
Doctor suggest Rayone EMV for my left eye to see near if I wanted to exchange IOL
I read up Vivity lens and suggest it to him . He said it ok too if I want it.
So in conclusion which lens should I use to see near better RAYONE oR VIVITY? Or which lens can give me a mini-monovision so as aid me better to see far clearer too.
Any suggestion is welcome. had eyhance on my right eye that see far . Set at 0.00 D.
This is my previous edited post.

Henry, the reason you have very poor intermediate vision without glasses is that your right eye has a spherical equivalent (sphere plus 50% of cylinder) of -3.75 D. That is way too much and leaves a gap in your vision between the two eyes that is right around a typical computer distance.
.
Based on your situation now, I think what I would do is consider another Eyhance lens for your left eye with a target of -1.50 D. This will give you good near vision and close the gap between the two eyes. Your surgeon has done an excellent job of hitting plano (-0.25 D spherical equivalent) with your right eye. This indicates the outcome of the second eye should be accurate too if you use the same surgeon and lens.
.
To improve your vision and comfort until you have the second eye done you could consider wearing a contact in the right eye. You would under correct it to leave the eye at -1.50 D. That will require a toric contact of about -1.75 D sphere and -1.00 D cylinder with an axis of 40 deg. A contact lens fitter should be able to refine that when you tell them you want a residual of -1.50 D to simulate mini-monovision.

Thank this sentenace made me want to correct my second eye.
I think -1.5D will be good enough for me.

Yes, if you expect some astigmatism a target of -1.50 D on a spherical equivalent basis with the Eyhance should be fine. Spherical equivalent (SE) is sphere plus 50% of the cylinder. SE is normally used when setting targets.
