Vulva eczema or VIN?

Posted , 5 users are following.

Fell sick last month and had 2 dosage of antibiotics.

Realised that I had flaky skin on my vulva. On closer look, there are 2 distinct patches on my vulva and the patches are slightly more wrinkled and lighte run Colour. To Note, I actually cut myself with my fingernail while washing up. The cut ended up being a bump/ pimple which has since popped Abd healed.

Also, when I look at my labia minora I realised that the outline of it is slightly whitish? I don't see any bumps or growth on it though. But as I shine a torch on it the whitish area looks like it's "cracked"

And any idea if I can post a picture here?

Hi Yvette, sorry to hear you're having such a worry.  The vulva does go through changes during life, but what worries me is when you accidentally cut yourself.  It sounds like it got infected.  It would be worth going to your doctor about that, to make sure it's healed properly, and mentioning that you are worried about the changes while you're there.

Hi, i have white patches , ive  had a biopsy and have been told i have got VIN, i am now waiting for operation date to have them removed as they said that mine were pre cancerous cells, you should see gp and ask them to refer you to the  gynecology at hospital, then you will know what exactly what you have got. take care.

Get a good dx before doing anything.  The white patches are coincerning in that they need to be biopsied and are descriptive of vulvar cancer.
