Vulva Irritation

Let me start off by saying I have health anxiety to the extreme - I have been suffering from this since mid-2017 after a sexual encounter. The person told me afterwards that he had a genital herpes outbreak years prior. I have since found out it was not a herpes outbreak, but still it kick started this spiralling!

I check my vagina basically every single day to check for any changes, especially now since I somehow managed to contract molluscum!

Basically for the past week now I have been noticing any sort of sensation down there. Whenever I check, nothing looks different - no marks, rashes or anything.

and honestly, when I'm distracted I do not notice anything.

But today I feel like their is a slight ache/burning sensation - the easiest way to describe what I felt was a "pulse" in the left side (inside labia). I've done my usual panic check and there is nothing there. It is slightly discoloured due to fordyce spots and it is patchy. I think my brain is just looking for anything to freak me out!

I have noticed more discharge than usual this past week too. it is milky white and has an ever so slight odour. I thought maybe my pH balance was out due to sex?

Has anyone experienced this before and it not been Herpes or some other STI? I think I am just looking for reassurance...

    may just be in your head or due to pH imbalance.. I get yeast infections every so couple months and it usually involves the same symptoms you're describing and the sensation may be due to clothing rubbing on and agitating the area ... it usually helps me to sleep with loose fitting clothing and no panties at night

      Thank you. I think you're right. Since I've been home I haven't worn underwear and it feels so much better

    I can totally relate!!@ my body hasn't felt since since my encounter. still feel irritation and not normal since September

    Guy I was dating at the time eventually did a full panel std test and was positive HSV 1 &2.

    We had 3 protected sex, and he performed oral sex on me unprotected, and last sexual intercourse with him was unprotected sex on 9-1-19. I have not had ANY sexual activity since this date with ANYONE.

    5 weeks after exposure:

    Tested negative on 10-10-19 IGG

    Tested negative 10-17-19 IGM

    Persuaded doctor to swab my vulva fissures to do culture and test was negative on 11-3-19

    13 weeks after exposure:

    Tested negative IGG & IGM on 12-3-19

      ALL std tests are negative in October and December and she says my vagina/cervix looks normal

      agree.. the mind is a powerful thing 🤯 lol. just wished I could finally get past this
