Vulva itching, white callus area clitoral hood - but, negative lichen sclerosus biopsy

I am desperate to get this figured out. 6-8 months ago, I started having intense amount of itching in the genital area. It would come and go, but would be quite intense when I had it. I never had any discharge or smell. Around the same time, I started to notice pain during the beginning of having sex. It felt like it was primarily painful on one side. I did not see an problems, it just felt painful. I was also under a TON of stress during that time, so I wondered if that had contributed. Probably around about 4-5 months ago, I noticed the skin around my clitoral hood was discolored and now more pale/white. As time went on, it seems though some of the skin was hardened almost like a callus. After further examination, I also have white patches on my vulva. I have seen my doctor. They ruled out any STD, yeast or bacterial infection. I went back and they did a punch biopsy on the skin. I fully expected that this would be Lichen Sclerosus. Much to my surprise, they said the it was negative. It was also negative for cancerous cells. Of course, I'm relieved, but now I so stressed out about what it could be. I have been married for almost 20 years and thankfully, my husband is very supportive and caring. But, this leaves me feeling so ugly and vulnerable....plus, miserable. The prescribed Clob about five days ago and I've been using it. I haven't seen any improvement yet. The itching still exists and I'm just so worried this will get worse. I am to follow upin four weeks with my doctor. In the meantime, I'm stressed and upset.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I feel so vulnerable putting all of this out there.

Keep using the Clob. It is the best treatment for this type of problem and within 12 weeks it should be a lot better. Dont give up yet.

I would say that because you are feeling pain you have cancer. Vaginal cancer actually is not very common, it happens but there is always the strong likelihood that its something else.

Joshuapryce......that is a terrible statement to make. Nobody on here has the information to make a diagnosis of cancer. Please be careful what you say...this could cause great distress.
