I'm new to hear so hope i am doing this right!
About 5 months ago I started with burning, itching, splitting of the skin and discharge for a couple of weeks. I had STI checks all negative. I put it down to thrush which i had never had before and got some over the counter treatment and with in a week it was cleared and had nothing since!
last week i noticed the same itching but very mild, yesterday i looked to see what was going on with a mirror and the skin is very red and split again (this time no discharge) after consulting doctor google i keep coming across lichen sclerosis! Its hard to tell with white patches as the skin just looks generally dry and i also have vitiligo!
If it was lichen sclerosis would symptoms of cleared up so quickly 5 months ago? i have read that LS can flare up but how long would it last and does that mean between flare ups are complete symptom free?

hi...I have never heard of a "CURE"....LS can be controlled through topical medications but NOT cured...r speaking of the Mona Lisa laser....if u r - again this will help to once again thicken the walls of the vagina but will not cure...women r put on hormone creams and steroids for "the rest of their lives" to ensure we r comfortable and not symptomatic....

Hello Ashley!
My first misdiagnosis was vitiligo. attached is a pic of what my LS look like.
I wash with apple coder vinegar, pat dry and then lubricate it with Castor Oil. I've changed my eating habit and so far no brake outs.
i hope my pic did gross you out. Maybe after Corona you can see a Dermatologist.
Hope i was able to assist you. ✌

Iv had my Vitiligo for 12 years and have it in many areas this is why its so hard to tell!

Hi - have you tried using Emuaid. It is costly but is the most amazing stuff - it mist certainly works. Thank goodness I found it.

No, only down there. One doctor said it was a bad case of yeast. Another was so afraid that after looking he wouldnt touch me. SMH! its an experience i wouldnt want any one to go thru.
Have blessed, safe Weekend
