Vulvar pain for 16 months, and doctor isnt taking it seriously

I'm coming here in hopes to get good advice, because I KNOW my problems aren't being taken seriously by my doctor. But I have no idea what to do or where to go, navigating your health can be really hard as an autistic person. When this problem started I was 20, and I'm about to be 22. Pretty much out of nowhere I started having really bad vulvar pain and pain in my clitoris. It was constant, and both of these areas were extremely red and swollen. I was told this is because I have pelvic floor issues, but I found out about those issues 2 years before I started having this pain. So I'm thinking it's something else. I still have the inflamed skin, swollen clitoris, random sharp pains in my vulva and clitoris, and I frequently have bacterial infection symptoms. I have tried everything my doctor has told me to do, in order to get rid of this pain and nothing has worked. I changed my diet, started taking pills specfically made to promote vaginal health, I started changing my pads sooner, I switched to all cotton pads as well, I change my underwear daily (a lot of the time I won't even wear underwear), I wipe properly, I only use sensitive skin everything, dont use dryer sheets, etc. I have gone to get vaginal swaps and urine test samples done countless times in JUST the last 4 months, but I never test positive for literally anything. I've been told that my vagina 'probably just looks like that, and you never noticed!' I'm a pretty pale Black/Mexican woman w/a white doctor. I'm pretty sure brown women's vaginas aren't red all the time, and I feel like it would be the same case for white women as well?? I asked to be reffered to a skin specialist, a disease specialist, and/or hormone specialist because I'm constantly in extreme pain. I also very randomly got intense yeast infection symptoms, and because it was the weekend I went to the store and got Monostat 1 for it, it took away all of the pain but I can feel it coming back already. (i have had 4 emotional breakdowns from pain this week alone.) I was told to just go to the OB/GYN! Which is what I have been doing for over a year and nothing has changed!! On top of that it takes a MONTH to get seen with my gyno, and I need help now. Someone please help me, it's 2:30 am as i write this and I can't sleep because of pain. I'm pretty much bed bound at this point, and I can't keep doing this.

Oh! I forgot to add that I have prescribed numbing cream, and that in order to just leave the house I've been needing to put it on. I used it pretty much everyday last week just so I could function like a normal person for a few hours. I also forgot to mention that all of this gets worse after my periods end, and I've been on the pill since I was 17 or 18 to manage intense cramping and heavy flows. I have also NEVER been sexually active, at all. I'm socially awkward and barely even have friends, so.

hey! i know how hard it is when doctors dont take you seriously. sorry you have to go through that.

does your vulval pain vary in intensity throughout thr month or is it constant?

If its just after your periods you could be allergic to the hygiene products you use during periods.

I too have a similar issue and my doctor just diagnosed me with vulvodynia . Turns out it wasnt vulvodynia and just irritation to the pads i use to use.

It's constant pain, but it is a lot worse during/after my period. I've changed the type of pads I use three times now, and haven't noticed a difference. All of them are the Always brand though, so maybe I should switch brands too.

you could try that. did you have a recent infection and did the pain start after that?

maybe check on vulvodynia , if you think it could be that , just know that treatment is still not that satisfactory
