Hi there I understand what your going through, my doc said I had burstsis of the hip bone in dec 06 and I have been in continuous pain since, My Doc is useless two co-codamol and go to bed is his answer to everything!!!! A Locum doc sent me for an xray and it appears I have a flat back and my vertbraes are narrowed causing my discs to slip misaligning my back, when my back goes into spasm I cant move!! I had to get a doc on call one occasion as I couldnt move for two hours!!!! At the moment I take Tramadol and Dicloflax which at first they were amazing but I have constant niggling pain more annoying my hips are ice cold and my leg go numb, then other days I get burning pins and needles. I have had an MRI scan over three weeks ago and I am still wating for the results!!!!!! My bladder is irritated also i find I dont know if this is a coincidence but it is very upsetting all the ailments together, I have three kids and I have been on the sick for over ten weeks now, as dificulty walking far is a big problem Im 34 and feel 84!!!!

Hey you want to be careful taking Tramadol. I was prescirbed codine at first for my prolapse disc but it gave me a rash after a while so as given tramadol instead. It was wonderful and took the pain right away, but also had terrible side effects. It completely knocked me out, made me vomit and i got heavily addicted to them. When i eventually got help from my family and came off them i got sever depression and withdrawl symptoms which left me needing therapy for months after. Just be careful!

I have degenerative discs of the spine and I am having problems with my hips? finding it hard to walk, i have found out that I had congenital dislocation of the hip when i was born and i am wondering whether it is related to why i am in pain now!!!!! Just been for an x-ray on my hips ????? Doc seems to think I have Ostioarthritis ???? as there is a great deal of inflammation in my blood (anemia test) average is around 15 mine was 21?????? medicine has been changed to 100mg aceclofenic and lanzoprezol 30mg, the medicine seemed to make my body light???? as it felt like a lead weight in comparison??? When taking the x-ray of my hip however I was surprised as i was unable to put my feet together as the pain was so horrific??? results come back in a week?????

My x-rays shows narrowing in my hip spaces and it is a possible sign of early stages of osteoarthritis I explained to the doc that the Acelofenic has helped my hip pain considerably but my spine was severe yesterday so I phoned the doctor for advice, anyway the Tramadol is still ok to take, Today I feel about 10 years younger as the pain relief from acelofenic is great, as previously I felt like a lead weight thats the only way I can describe it. Waiting now for pain clinic not sure what they can do now though as I am not sure if I need there help now, however I am concerned about being on so much medicine.

    HI there Shaz - all

I went to the pain clinic in Lancaster hospital and the Dr said he has a broken coxic and he doesn't need medication, so he made me basically feel like poo, and he said If he was to take 500 people off the street who had ddd then he would find they have no problem with pain!!!!! and yet he said in his next breath I could have arthritis in my hip? but he put across as though I wasn't in pain and I was imagining things and yet he prescribed me gabapentin?????

My doctor was appalled by his manner, and said you should have told him to have a baby lol, he thinks there is a possibility my hip have early arthritisor all the pain I have is related to the ddd so as it is I have to try these new tablets for nerve pain, and so if these don't work then I will see a rhuemotologist??? the human body seems to be one mystery as my Occupational health doctor said I could have arthritis in the hip and fibromalgia.....but I wont know until I see the specialist a rhuemotologist to diagnose what I have all together???

So basically Shaz just keep going back to the doctor until they get you your answer as I have to wait to see if these tablets work before I have the complete solution????

    take care all

and keep fighting for the answers!!!!!
