Waiting on tests

Hi all, new to this forum. After years of bouts of severe diarrhea and stomach problems, I am still going through various tests to illiminate certain causes. My rheumatologist now wonders if it is Crohns (as my grandmother had it). But I told him previously I have been tested via blood and colonoscopy and endoscopy. But he now suggests MRI scans on my back. Which surprised me. Has anyone had this way of testing for it? Thank you 😃
