hi everyone, I've been referred for bariatric surgery. I live in Bracknell and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the waiting time? The GP has completed the referral but when will I hear about the next steps? I dont want any judgement just advice. thankyou 🙂

you might get a better response to your question on a forum dedicated to wgt loss surgery rather than a more general wgt loss forum such as this - somewhere such as WLSinfo might be a good place to start - whilst you are waiting for your appointment do as much research as poss about the diff types of wgt loss surgery and look at the advantages and disadvantages of them all cos what suits one person will not suit another and vice versa - make a list of any questions you want answering and take it along with you as there will be a lot of info to take in and you don't want to come home then remember something you forgot to ask about - be prepared also for a long wait and having to 'jump through many hoops' before you get accepted for surgery on the NHS as they will need you to show commitment to the programme they ask you to follow before giving you the go ahead - good luck and hope all goes well for you
