Waking of a morning with arm on floor holding my body in bed!

for the past year (roughly), i keep waking of a morning with my left arm literally hanging out of bed with my hand flat on the floor holding my body in bed.

I have obviously been like that for hours as i usually scream in pain when i try to move the arm and the whole arm, hand and fingers are really, really swollen all day.

The last month i have also fallen out of bed completely twice.

Last night i slept in my disability single bed as i had a Panda Topper delivered for my double and yep, even in the higher disability bed this morning, i woke in exactly the same position and a really swollen arm.

in my double, i go to sleep in the middle of the bed.

Has anyone experienced this or has any idea what is going on? i am 56.
