    hi kim

I did get this every day, early morning around 3 to 4 am.  Just wake suddenly, Hot, anxious, nauseous, limp, then panick for a few minutes and then so exhausted fall back to sleep.  I don't get it every night now, just maybe once a week.  Still frightens me as I also have heart palpitations with it.  Its horrible, but it does ease off.  I just wish it wouldn't happen at all.  Even occasionally still bothers me.

i read to put a cold wash cloth behind your neck to keep body temp down and put fan on you. helps it last few mornings. i also filled my xanax script and take half a dose. calms me down a lot before i go into panic about feeling sick. i wish i could go nack to sleep because when it ends, and usually with chills, i am so tired but its then time to get up and get kids going for school

mine happens at around 3 or 4am so I can a couple of hours sleep before having to get up.  I suppose 5am is a nuisance as its not worth getting back to sleep then.  nuisance this whole peri/menopause rubbish!!

I have been experiencing hot flushes and night sweats for the past 2 months. I keep waking up early hours and not being able to get back to sleep for 3 hours then have about 2hrs sleep then alarm goes off im a walking zombie all thru the day not able to get all the things i use to do. Been put on antidepressants for anxiety and tbeu have helped especially with moods but still not able to sleep right thru. Its not very pleasant going thru this menopause i do feel quiet miserable but looking up on the internet its normal for us women.

I am 49 and having been in peri for about a year. My symptoms change all the time but I have always been a good sleeper....until last week....now i wake anywhere between 3am to 5am. As a result I can't keep my eyes open after 9pm...i used to be a nightowl but not anymore. I don't know if its connected to the tiredness but I have also been flat with low energy and really angry. My husband has been copping the anger big time sad

Yes. I am 56, post-menopausal and getting two or three throughout the night. Also is anybody dropping off to sleep easily then being woken 10-15mins later feeling this way? This happens to me nearly every night. Not really got an answer yet but I have a fan on all night and push off bed covers until you cool down. Maybe a drink of water could help. Will let you know as soon as I think of a relief. I usually think of something, you have to don't you.
