Waking up in the morning

Hi all,

I've had this for a long time, but especially the last couple of weeks: every morning when I wake up, I feel like I've been hit by a truck. It's like a very bad hangover, but without having consumed any alcohol the night before. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with liver/kidneys/dehydration, because I do feel a bit better after drinking some glasses of water. Does anyone recognize this feeling every morning?

Hey SadJ- I’ve had this since July 2017. And yes the mornings I feel awful. Every single morning. Widespread muscle pain and stiffness and a heavy heavy fatigue. No one has really been able to explain that to me. I’m doing a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea. And I am finally seeing a rheumatologist to see if it’s fibromyalgia. But yes mornings I feel absolutely the worst.

Same thing happens to me. I've been seeing a lot of improvements health-wise of late so it doesn't happen every morning anymore, but it still does once or twice a week and has been a problem since I got sick in May. I'd sleep for 10-12 hours and wake up feeling like I slept for 3. It's pretty awful.
