waking up sweating on 50mg

Hey all. I currently been on Sertralne since last monday 50mg. The last couple of nights i been waking up with terrible sweating. Im not sure if this is the anxiety or if its the medication im due to up my dose this evening to 100mg. Im due back to the docs tom. Could anybody advise if i should up the dose. I had this prob last year when i was on  citalapram

    Hi there nick, sweating and more so the night sweats are one of the most common side effects known, on anti depeessents. They will settle down after awhile. But in some people they carry on aslong as your taking the medicine. I still get them every now and then even after 3 months. They wont bother you soon. Keep strong

      80% better than what i was as i was a big mess, im now back at work but do get tired more easily nowadays but ive got one of the most tireing jobs there is hahaha. Like today i walked at a fast pace and walked 15 miles while lugging 20 tonns of rubbish about lol bin man by the way. If it wasnt for setraline i dont know were id be

      Thats good to know lol. I was a right mess myself last year we have a death in the family that hit us hard and after many visits to the hospital thinking i was loosing my mind and seeing the crisis team. i saw someone that helped me i was having intrusive thoughts exc which are very distressing he pu me sertraline and an anti-phycotic meds and after few week i felt back to my normal self and stopped taking the meds but this month ive gone back to how i was last year

      What dose did you start on Scott?. And how long before they started working for you

      Been on 50mgs since the day i started, no increase at all, seeing my doctor in the new year for a review. Tell her about a few minor things so maybe up dose myself but will have to see. Took me 8 weeks to notice any thing and week by week extra 10% if you ask gingemac on here she is very good to talk to and took her maybe 6 months but we are all different

      I only been  on them for 7 days im upping dose tonight to 100mg. I cant remmember how long i was on them last year. i was on an anti-phycotic aswell which cleared my head. I don't have phycosis or nothing like that the meds was Quetiapine. i know they worked really well cause still had alot left in the draw from last year lol

    Hi nick...Unfortunately sweating is a common side effect from A/D's.But it should settle down.If it were me about to increase the dose,I would do it,say from 50mg to 75 mg for a week or two and then up it to 100mg.Hopefully this will minimise more unwantedside effects.All the best.Sally

      Hi nat and sally. Thanks for your reply's. My tabs are only in 50mg im due the increase tonight from 50 to 100

    The tablets are easily halved,especially with a pill cutter!All the best.Sally

    I take 75 as refused to go to 100 at the moment. I halvr one and it's fine
