Waking up with left eye watering and irritated - sinus related

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi, so as well as constant sinus headaches and occasional teeth pain due to these, I now seem to have a painful, tearful eye most nights / early mornings. The left side, the same side as the teeth and where I have a Nasal spur. Anyone else? Dick of this condition, been om the waiting list for three years, considering going private.

Thanks

The teeth pain is probably because your sinus is putting pressure on your trigeminal nerve.  Have you seen previous posts about evening primrose oil?  Try it, 1000 mg capsule a day - it certainly helped me.

Are you in the UK?  It's shocking that you've been waiting to see someone for 3 years and you should probably complain about this via the PALS liason service.  Also try making more fuss with your GP about the pain and the delay!

      Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, I did try evening primrose oil but it didn't work, neither did amitryptiline which my doctor prescribed.

Yes I'm in the UK, three years now! I have solpadeine max daily to take the edge of the edge headaches, not goid I know.

The teeth thing was so bad I felt all the pain when having a root canal done because of the nerve being compressed / infection and tooth had to be pulled out instead.

      Just an awful chronic condition.

      Thanks again.
