Go to doctor as soon as you can.  Tell them you suspect Polymyalgia, take documentation with you.

I lived with my pain for a month before I could get in to doctor because of personal happenings and holidays, but it was excrutiating. If doctor thinks it's PMR they will put you on Prednisone to reduce inflammation quick.  If it's not PMR it may not work.

dont be in agony, go to a doctor who knows of PMR.

good luck to you. PMR can happen to people in  50's too.

Hi mcr!  I'm not really sure this is the best site for you.  If your pain is mostly in your legs and back it doesn't really sound like typical PMR, which is a muscle illness with raised ERP and CRP.

Have you seen a doctor about your problems?  That, of course, should be your first step.  Is it difficult to see a doctor in Dubai?

Someone else, more knowledgeable than I am, should be along shortly to give you more advice.

There is always someone to help/advise you in this forum, so please keep in touch.

      i think u r right , its muscle issue mostly ,

bfore 8 months i could not stand , i was using wheel chair , after 4 months i start standing and start walking with walker support , i feel very less energy , i do some gym - cycling few minutes on machine , walk on track machine with low speed , but walking on machine also i have to hold side bars , some time i loose balance and fall down , than it becomes difficult to stand , in hospital in dubai 8 months back they give electric shock on my legs , than i told to stop that shocks

Oops, I read back of legs, verses back and legs.

Bless your heart, there could be multiple things going on.

      I'm so sorry.

PMR often comes on suddenly and affects shoulders and hips all at once for many.  We are learning inflammation in our bodies play a big role in our ailments.

I hope you find the right help and get relief.  Good for you for exercising. Though doing it with proper postures and methods is sometimes difficult to learn about.

      Many blessings to you.

Put Bowen Therapist Dubai into your search engine - there are some in Dubai.

Book them for three one hour session in three consecutive weeks.

If there is no improvement after the three weeks it will not work for you.

In the top right hand corner in the green slot, there is a search box, type in Diagnosis and Treatment of PMR, read it and see whether any of it makes sense to you.  I have a suspicion it is not PMR.
