Walking unaided

I am three weeks post op on Monday. Should I be trying to walk unaided in the house ? I have walked outside with crutches but find it quite tiring. Also when can you start bending over?  

Dressing coming off tomorrow on nurses orders but apparently the scar looks like a sad face and is very large!  A bit alarmed really. Any others have similar scar?

      Susan..my family calls my phone the extension of my right arm!  Greeks are not letter writers so the telephone is the most used device in all greek households!!  On the buses everyone is chatting away on their mobiles or sending texts and  I am one of the worst offenders!!  All the patients have their mobiles with them in hospital,doctors give us their mobile numbers too,which is very handy!!  I've even made sure the dressing gown I take with me has a pocket for my mobile!! Thankyou for replying.X
