Walking with an air boot

I have been on here since I broke my ankle and talking and seeing other people's experiences and it's been great . I am using a walker and have a boot and just started physical therapy last week . I have been doing everything they have asked me to do but the one thing that I can't do is stand without holding on on the boot. I cannot balance on one foot on the. I cannot balance on one foot on the boot. I managed this morning to take a couple of Tiny Steps without holding on but I still can't stand on the boot. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I can't get out of the boot until I can walk on it

    the boot is big and clunky i had a pair of super old platform sneakers that made my good foot level with boot made walking much easier

    I was able to be out of boot yesterday walking with 2 sneakers but i was walking like I was 90!!lol!

    i rode the bike at Pt yesterday plus did work on bar with kicking and other exercises

      Oh wow I know that made you happy. I was able to take a couple of steps today without holding on with the boot. I did it about four times. I was so excited I had to text. I was so excited I had to text everybody. I can't go far but hey at least it's a start. I can understand how you felt about walking in

      seems once you get started recovery speeds up i feel like things i couldnt do 2 weeks ago i can do now

      ive been using electric scooters they have at grocery stores for shopping

      now i can walk in boot and just use carriage in the store

      small milestones but i feel my independence returning
