want appitite back

hi when does your appitite come back been on sertraline 50mg day 11 some days better than others but my anxiety started to spike beginning of july and started to lose appitite then i'm eating but not like i used to lost 7lb but stayed same weight for 2 weeks not lost any more but doc wants me to go back in 2 weeks and if i have lost any he wants to send me for camera so worrying even more now as for the past week i've been going to pass a bowel 2/3 times a day no blood just everytime i eat i feel i want toilet so scared

    Don't be scared Wendy. .I lost 10lbs. My doc wanted to send me get camera down to. .I refused. Cos I knew it was the meds. .took a while for appetite to come tho. . I was scared to. As I'm a thin person . .and cudnt afford weight loss. . Hang in there. .easier said than done tho. .god bless

      ty ida my weight has stayed the same for 2 weeks not gained or lost i'm only thin to i went from 11 stone to 10 and half he wants me to go back in 2 weeks to check my weight again and he told me he cant put everything down to meds or anxiety

      I disagree Wendy. .meds def stopped my appetite. . I had to make myself eat . .sometimes the smell of certain food made me feel nauseas. . I really struggled. . God bless for now. .keep in touch

    Hi Wendy, what you are describing are the exact symptoms of stress I had that lead to me taking Lustral.

    I had the camera and I was fine. I believe is your stress tbh.

    Having said that it took me onpy a week on 50mg to get back to normal.

    It's week 4 now for me and I have no side effects and I am back to normal 95%

    Hi Wendy,

    This is really normal. I lost a stone when first starting Sertraline from a mixture of stress/panic and also the side effect of loss of appetite. I think it took about 3 weeks for my appetite to return to normal. Once the Sertraline starting working I put the weight back on. Please try not to worry, the list of side effects you can get from this medication is so long. I know it’s scary but they do pass. Good luck
