I'm currently on Buspirone. Its helped but hasn't elimated the anxieties. I'll be increasing the dosage next month. The max is 60mg a day so if you've reached that and still no results you'll probably have to change or add to it. I'm also on gabapentin. I hear that can help because it somehow effects gaba similar to benzodiazepines. Not as strong but similar. I'm thinking to increase gabapentin. I do like the buspirone in that it seems to have no side effects, at least not for me.

Thanks, thats really interesting as i really want rid of benzos.  Assume you are in uk and buspirone is available here?  My Psych hasnt suggested it, just me thinking of asking for it.  Havent had gabapentin, what does it do, help with depression or anxiety?

I am considering trying this too, because my anxiety is so persistent.  It is there every minute of everyday.  I don't even know what the anxiety is about!!  I don't really want to take more meds, because I'm on Lexapro and seroquel for sleep, but I'm so despearate to find some reprieve.  I have considered trying a good quality CBD hemp oil.  It helps with anxiety but there's no high like taking MJ.  If you start the Buspirone, please let me know how it goes.  Best wishes to you.

Like you anxiety is present whole time, i end up using valium low dose but need to get rid of it.does the lexapro not help with anxiety?   Seroquel is supposed to but i tried it and no help, just made my hands shake.  My dr is not talking buspirone he wants me to take risperidone or olanzapine as augment. Frankly they scare me.
