Hi, I was diagnosed with afib in June2016 since then I have been on four different meds as well as riveroxiban. I struggled with bisoprolol. verapamil, digoxin and have been on diltaziem for the past two months. Every day I feel ill sick, dizzy and my head feels like it is in a daze all the time.. I have just been reading about magnesium supplements and how they help the heart and wonder if anyone else has tried them instead of what they prescribe. I have not felt well since June and have not been able to return to work as I get short of breath after a five minute walk.Everyday I feel weaker than the previous day and it truly is getting me down now and the anxiety is getting worse as each day passes.

hi rose, could you tell me which country you live in? I've had AF all my life (47). It was really found in January this year when I was in hospital for pneumonia. I was born with a mitral valve disorder so it doesn't close properly. I've been put on 7.5 bisoprolol and 1.25 digoxin every day since Jan. I'm also on warfarin. I'd like to ask if you got riveroxiban as standard or if you got warfarin first? I've heard riveroxiban is better than warfarin, less complications.

I saw him two days ago for my six monthly check and that is when my afib flared uo. however i have to drive 75 miles eachwat to see him and i consumed a lot od strong coffee and a bar of chocolate on the wayAt 87 i do experince fatigue which i ascribe to aging and my recent a-fib reemergence was due to over indulgence mainly drinking 10 cups of strong coffee daily.
i execise 5 days a week for one hour [3 claases in the swimming pool and two classes on land] which is quite vigorous but i can keep up though a1 little slower than the rest of the group who are between 60 t0 75 years of age. all women except myself. Shortly i will be entering my third year in these exercise classes for seniors.
I was told that coffee, alcohol, chocolate and stress among other things triggere a fib.

Hi Rose.. Everyone is different. Althought thinks like magnesium (which you can get from raw almonds) and raw garlic and turmeric and especially cayenne pepper CAN WORK, you might have other conditions or weaknesses and if you do decide to try this approach go slowly. I am assuming that you don't smoke or drink alcohol and that you consume little if any cheese, and that you do not use sugar or artificial pastries... Whole fresh food contain so much healing. Best of luck
