warfarin advice

Posted , 1 user is following.

since i been on warfarin (4 1/2 years ) ive found the uk health system severly lacking in advice about warfarin and the interaction on life . When i have a query my doc says to contact my anti=coagulation clinic . and they say contact my doc . the only way i tend to find out things is to 'google' .theres often lots of different answers but normally the answers there somewhere .

As christmas is coming theres nothing i loved more than roasted chestnuts . now its easy to google the vit K content of roasted chestnuts but if you google warfarin and chestnuts it pops up with loads of things about horse chestnuts affecting warfarin , but nothing about normal chestnuts . i know that horse chestnuts are ' poisonous' and chestnuts arent . but thats all i know about the differences . .im hoping someone out there knows the answer . or i will have to go without . If anyone also knows of anywhere that can give advice on all warfarin matters i would be grateful . im a new member on here so im pleased to ,meet you all .. Thanks

Andy
