Was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome and Membranous Nephropathy in July...

I wasn't able to see a kidney doctor til October, and he wanted to put me on Cyclophosphamide / Prednisone off and on treatment for 6 months, take for one month, then take Cyclophosphamide for one month, and switch for 6 months.  But my insurance wouldn't cover cyclophosphamide, so he put me on prograf.  I started taking prograf on November 25th, and I am so weak now its not funny, I cant even complete doing dishes without having to take a break.

?Anyone else in this situation?

Your doctor needs to write a medical necessity letter to your insurance company if you are have severe side effects   Insurance companies may approve the more expensive med once you have unsuccessfully tried the less expensive drug,

oh ans i agree with lilibelle. your doc needs to write a letter to your insurance company and use the key words "life threating". i know this cuz my ex has diabetes..juvenile type 2 and they are always trying to five him something cheaper that causes life threating issues.
