Hello. I'm not sure what is going on with me, over 2 months ago I started getting three worst headaches of my life which left me dizzy and foggy headed, nauseous, tired. A week after that started I began to shake almost every day around midday. I don't shake anymore, so I'm not sure what that was about. I'm in a constant fog and I'm tired all the time. My chest stated to have this pinching pain and there's this tingling and slight numbness that picks a limb, but is usually in my feet lips and tongue. My whole body feels fatigued. I never used to take naps but i find myself coming home between classes and napping, hoping to gain a bit of energy back. I'm not dehydrated, but I'm not eating well. I'm not eating well because this whole thing has messed up my appetite. I've been to the doctor and the ER, I've gotten a CT scan, blood work and a chest x ray and so far the CT scan and most of the blood work came back fine, I'm waiting for the other results. I know I'm in pain, but I feel like the doctors don't take me seriously. I look in the mirror and I don't look sick. But it's a struggle to even drive a car sometimes. I haven't asked my doctor if this could be fibromyalgia yet, I don't see him for another 2 weeks. I was hoping someone here with experience could tell me if this sounds like it or not. I feel like I'm running in circles.

Hi Snapdragon. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia more than 11 years ago. I will say that I have those symptoms as well. Have you seen a rheumatologist yet. They specialize in fibromyalgia. If you need to get a referral for insurance purposes, ask your doctor who to see. I didn't even know what fibromyalgia was when I was diagnosed. I know how hard it can be. Hope you find your answers and feel better.

Hi Kathy, I'm curious regarding support from a Rhumatologist.

I live in the UK, had a diagnosis of fibromyalgia by a Rhumatologist and basically handed me a leaflet and sent me on my merry way😕

I've had no specialist helping me, are you in the UK?

Hi. I am so sorry that I didn't respond to your message 5 months ago. Life and family has kept me busy. I'm just looking at it now. I am in the United States, so maybe I can't be much help. But I hope you have found someone to listen and help you. Fibromyalgia can be a devastating diagnosis in the beginning. It's not a death sentence, but it gets bad enough sometimes that you wish it was. For all the years that I have dealt with it, I keep having new problems, or diagnosis, being added to my chart. I never had any idea how many problems are associated with Fibromyalgia. I deal with arthritis, migraines, IBS, depression, costal chondritis, Allodynia, memory loss, etc., etc. They like to call the memory loss, "fibro fog". For me, ibuprofen 800 mg. That's prescription dose. Hot Epsom salt baths and naps. The nap thing seemed crazy, but 30 minutes every day, sometimes twice a day, helps a good bit. My rheumatologist gave me muscle relaxers like Flexeril or Soma, to help me sleep at night. I had really restless sleep. Lack of good, regenerative sleep makes your muscle tissue break down. That makes your pain even worse. I really hope that you find the help you need.
