Was swabbed but test are taking forever 😭

i had happened to shave friday night, then on saturday night i had unprotected sex with someone i had sex with before (although not recent). then sunday i woke up and went to the beach. sunday night it began to burn when i peed, i believed i had an UTI so i took AZO. my vagina and clit were EXTREMELY sore and it felt like i had a cut between my butt cheeks from shaving. it was also itchy. i did dry up when having sex so thought it was due to this. Tuesday i noticed it was still burning when i peed so i took some antibotics for UTI (z pack). wednesday i woke up and i had a very watery discharge where it looked like i peed my panties. thursday morning i hoped in the shower and was washing my butt and noticed a bump, mind went automatically to herpes. i went to my Dr and did a urine and blood test and a culture swab. i havent received my test back and its driving me insane. they did start me on medication by my request (i began one fri night and two a day since). i was also given a pill for yeast infection just in case. the burning stoped possibly on sunday? and no itching anymore. i have been monitoring the bumps and it doesnt seem any has changed. as i took 3 medications im not sure which one helped. the Dr said he doesnt think its herpes but cant be sure, the nurse said she thinks so. what are your opinions? its eating me alive that its taking this long to get the results.

thank you! they told me it could be up to 2 weeks 😦

do you have an opinion on if it looks like herpes or something else?

yeah mine took two weeks! it was torture waiting! but i knew that it was more then likely herpes!!

could be infected hair follicules or just skin irritation!

was it antibotics or antivirals they gave you?

oh wow! im calling the nurse every day asking if my results are in, driving the poor lady crazy!! i just want to know. ive already kinda convinced myself it is but still just holding out that its not.

at first i took Azithromycin starting on tuesday? (it was 5 pills)

then thursday they gave me a fluconazole pill for yeast infection (just in case)

and then friday night i started acyclovir (at my request because i was nervous)

      so its hard to tell

i was the same i was making my self so sick mentally over it!! My first outbreak was probably the worst things ive ever been through! it was excruitating, but mentally it was so much worse!

try not to beat your self up about it! stress doesnt help if it is herpes! But it may not be at all and honestly if it is herpes its not worth the actual stress!!

you can always private message me if you want! negative or positive! i know how alone you can feel waiting for results and getting them too! i hate thinking someone could feel that way!!
