From what I understand, some degree of discomfort may be experienced, including a feeling of something in your eye.  But I would stil call your surgeon to have it checked out.  In my opinion, you can't be too cautious when it comes to your vision.

dry eyes cause a something in your eye feeling.  i had it.  you may need artificial tear drops.  when the cornea is cut, the eyes don't generate the same amount of tears.  i had one of my tear ducts blocked and put drips in 3 times or so each day and that eliminates this problem.  Assuming your feeling something in the eye is dry eyes.  one of the complaints i had post surgery.

I would wait until you see your doctor before using arrtificial tears.  I was told by my doctor not to use anything in my eyes until they are healed and I get the all clear.  I do however have a bit of dry eye now that I never had before.

I definitely had a bit f that feeling, of "something's in my eye", for a few days after my second eye surgery. That feeling gradually lessened, until I noticed that it wasn't there anymore. My surgeon told me this is not unusual.

Oh yeah, all happened to me. Woke up with crusty eye. Has slacked off and so is the feeling of sand in eye. That is ur incisions. They do heal over after few days. Watering will decrease over few days

I was very scratchy. And blurry after surgery into the next day . Turned out my cornea was scratched right in front of my pupil . It will healin a day or two but in the meantime it waters and feels like there is a small pebble in your eye . You should be fine soon .

It's been about 9 weeks since I had my eyes done (left eye 2/24, right eye 3/4).  The only discomfort I have is a slight feeling of dryness, which I never had before.  I also sometimes feel like I'm wearing contact lenses in that I think I actually see the edges of the artifical lenses - they sometimes seem to giggle.  I guess it's a small price to pay because for the first time in my life, I can see without glasses or contact lenses. I was extraordinarily farsighted. I'm still pretty cautious about rubbing or even touching my eyes.
