Wax or shave ? And is it more common to start on clitorus ?

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hello Again ,

Can anyone tell me how they first noticed LS ?

I became aware because my clitorus was stinging and felt irritated all of the time , 😩especially during the night and at that time i wore pyjamas .

Also can anyone tell me if they still shave or wax ?

I have always been fastidious with my grooming but now feel scared to agrivate it 🤦🏻???

Any ideas or techniques gratefully recieved 🤗

    Hi Susan.

I’m 24 and in very early stages of LS, I have only very minor symptoms at the moment, I was diagnosed after my doctor found whitish skin down there during a Pap smear.

I’ve got a ver little bit of fusing down there which I hope doesn’t continue anymore, the doctor said the ointment I’m using should slow down the fusing process.

Recently I’ve been feeling very sensitive with my clitorus as well, it feels like my underwear is irritating it. It does feel a bit stinging sometimes also.

I shave at the moment, but it’s not affecting me as it would someone with more severe symptoms, but my doctor suggested laser hair removal down there to prevent further irritation later on.

That might really help you if you’re prepared to go through a few sessions. I hope this has helped, it’s so unfortunate that we have this stupid condition but I’m happy to have this forum where we can speak with women alike.

Hey Su....!! First noticed 2 white lines on exterior sides of labia minoras because i wanted to se what i looked like down there 👇 because i always had since young very very small labia minora. I wanted to compare with other pictures i se women who have long labia minora and it startled me to se those 2 really white spots. Then on a routine visit at the gynecologist I hasked him and right away he said lichen.... with a strange face. He scheduled for biopsy and came back positive. As for the shaving I shave but only on sides of bikini and top. I never go to close to mucosis. After all those hair are there for protection. Same as I cliped all hair in my nose the other day and got a really bad cold . It’s protection. I suggest that you trim with sisors the excess hair on front of pubic and do the sides but don’t go on mucosa. 🤗

I am newly diagnosed.  My first symptom was frontal itching that lasted just a few hours.  followed by burning pain in the vulva area. I saw my doctor a week later and he found a white patch on labia.

I have another appointment set up for a question and answer session a week from now.

I have had bikini/modified brazilian waxes for 20+ years.  And whether or not to continue is on my list of questions.

This is my second post.  (not sure where the 1st one went)

Thanks to all who are on this site.

    Hey Susan

why don’t you use a ladies intimate shaver with a guard on it. It will keep your hair very short but but the blade won’t be actually dragging directly over the skin surface. That’s what I do 😃😃😃
