You can get esophageal valvuloplasty to fix the sphincter. It doesn't change your anatomy like the nissen does

i had bad lpr and reflux. i was sick for 2 yrs. Then i got a nissen fundoplication surgery and it almost killed me. Nissen doesn't work and can be life threatening surgery. I was sick like a dog with the nissen for over a year. Then I found Cardio Thoracic surgeon. Dr Farid Gharagozloo who took my nissen down. Put my anatomy back the way it was and fixed my LES sphincter with EV. You can google esophageal Valvuloplasty. There is a group on FB you can join to get more info. It's called Nissen Alternative/Esophageal Valvuloplasty. There are others who had EV and doing well. I can eat, burp and throw up when I want. I had the. surgery almost a year ago. I would do it again.
