Weakness all over body and neck and head. Anyone else feel this?

For the past year i have been dealing with various symptoms that are apparently related to anxiety. Right now for the past week i have been feeling very weak at first in my right arm like i couldnt move it or that i couldnt feel with that arm and right now i am feeling it all over my body and my head and neck. Whenever i lay down i feel so much weakness on my neck and throat and i feel like its hard to breathe. Im so scared that my body is just going to give up on me and that i will die and i just feel like my muscles are going to stop working. Does anyone else feel like this.

I am sorry you are feeling this way and are scared. Do you normally have severe anxiety? I know that it can cause a weak feeling, a heavy feeling etc. is there something in your life going on that could be causing the anxiety?

when I was in my 20s I suddenly developed arm and leg weakness, tingling sensation all over, floaters in my eyes and it felt like somebody sit on my chest as it was difficult to get air in my lungs. Prior to that I had a long history of anxiety. The neurologist couldn’t find anything wrong. That was many years ago and I am doing OK although I’m still dealing with anxiety unfortunately. If your sensations don’t go away, let your doctor know so you can get a complete check up. Everybody should have one anyway at least once a year.

do you have anybody you can talk to about this like family or friends?

anxiety can cause all sorts of sensations but they’re not harmful.

in the meantime, try to relax your mind as much as possible. Listen to some soothing meditations. There are some great relaxing body scan meditations on YouTube along with many others. I usually fall asleep listening to them. But they can really benefit your mind and how you feel. I do them a couple times a day. I really hope you feel better soon! ❤
