Good Morning/Evening.

Thank you for looking at my post. Ok to start of I am 23 male and yes your probably thinking "Oh my really not another one"

I had an operation on my left ankle on the 29th and was given crutches for 4-5 weeks I started to notice a pain in my right tricep like a dull aching pain that radiated down into my hand and timeliness and numbness. Stupidly I looked on Google. Well MS comes up I didn't get the answer I was looking for so I dug deeper and here we go ALS (Nasty nasty disease) well It then went over to my left arm like a dull aching into my shoulders and down my tricep and into my hand. My arm just feels weak. I can still curl the same as my right, lift the same probably grip the same It just feels like it's weaker. When I hold my iPhone or put my hands in the air it shakes. I know I suffer from anxiety badly after an event in my life I am in the Military so have seen a few 6 to be exact doctors who have all said they won't refer me because they believe there is no need to and its provably down to my anxiety and the fact that they have never heard of anyone at my age even developing that horrible disease. I am sorry if this is waiting your time. I have read online that it's not feeling it's the fact one day you just can't do the things you could before. I thank you very much for your time in reading this I hope you can just say to me " Hugo Shut up go enjoy your life and stop worrying. Tbh I wish a doctor would say that" take care

Hugo. It is frightening. Look up signs and symptoms on the b12 deficiency website to see if you have the symptoms of b12 deficiency and ask for a b12, folate and ferritin blood test. You can then post your results here. A full blood count can tell a lot. Also have your thyroid function tested.

      Hello heather,

I forgot to mention that I had all my bloods taken and they came back clear. It's just scaring me

    Hello mate,

Yes it's bloody awful looking up things on the net when a doctor can't do his/her job Your not wasting anybody's time your scarred which is normal make another appointment with your doctor and say you want to know what's wrong with you and not not leaving tell they do something about it Took me a year to get a MRI scan I was at my wits end

Ask again for a refer or ask to see someone about your anxiety maybe it's PSTD You in the armed forces go see your C/O You have a right too be treated It's your life

I am currently seeing a mental Health nurse who seems to think it could be in my head which I hope it is. I have had people telling others that MND is failing not feeling. No pain or aches just you can not do something. Which makes me sit there and go but I can lift move and do everything i could before. It's just this dull ache and feeling of weakness that is bothering me. Thank you for your reply though.

It is easy for me to say to you go and enjoy life but when you are down it is

hard to be the old you.  Could it be arm strain due to crutches ?

No you would know if it was.  remember the Monty Python song?

Always look on the bright side of life? dum dum dum da dum dum dum.

Well sing a song that makes you feel good and see if you feel better.

Any song that cheers you up.  Now ready start singing.  I am not being flippant as

I have been ill and found that laughter and music worked for me.

    Good Luck Hugo
