Weakness in thigh above knee :( help please..

Hi,

I keep having periods where my thighs feel weak and my muscles ache usually just above my knee and the front of my thighs. I can go a couple of weeks with nothing then it comes out of the blue. I'm anxious all the time so I don't know if it's linked. I used to get it in my upper arms but that's seemed to have worn off. It leaves my thighs aching, sometimes burning too. Sometimes trembling.

Has anyone else experienced this please?

that was one of the symptoms I got when I first got the physical symptoms of anxiety in my 20s. The weak feeling in my thighs, arms, etc.it would be there for a while then go away and then I will get it back again at some point. That’s probably what’s going on with you since you are always anxious. it would be great if there was more help out there for us. Try to relax your mind as much as possible. Don’t focus on bodily sensations because it tends to make them worse. You always have the option of discussing symptoms with your doctor if they continue. but it sounds very similar to what I get. Have a good day .

Hi, Thanks so much for your reply. It's really reassuring to hear I'm not alone. Can I ask did you suffer with anxiety for a while before that symptom started? I've had GAD since June 2019, this only just started a few months ago.. along with internal tremors and all sorts. finding it hard to accept as I've never had it before even when my anxiety was at its worst.

      Thank you again.
