Weaning off Paxil CR 25 mgs

Hi there,

Can anyone give me tips on weaning off of Paxil? It's the CR form. My doctor told me to take 12.5 CR mgs in one week, then switch to every other day the 2nd week. Is that too fast? I am also trying to get put on Remeron because Ativan makes me to groggy the next day. It's used to help with sleep.

    Paxil is  very hard drug to get off of....It took me about six months to SLOWLY taper off....you can do it!!!!

    I am not sure if you can use it for weaning off of CR, but I asked my doctor to prescribe me the liquid version of Paxil, and it made all the difference. So much easier to wean of very slowly. Took me 4 months to get off 20mg with minimal side effects.
