Have a look on this site for the link on coming off AD's

pit gives great advice for tapering off sertraline

its basically tapering 10% of your previous dose each month

this reduces withdrawal symptoms, sometimes entirely

    goid luck

Hope I can reassure you - don't panic. It will be abolutely fine so long as you go steady. I was on Venlafaxine 150mg for a couple of months and the scare stories I read about on the internet terrified me. It is apparently one of the more difficult medications to ween off. I was amazed to find I hardly noticed anything. Expect the worst and you'll be surprsied. Just take it steady. The doctor should prescribe you tablets titrating down from 50mg to 0mg. It will most likely take a two or three weeks.

You'll be fine. Best wishes and good luck.

Trust me having just done it the thought of it is worse that coming off.

if you do it in a planned, systematic way as I've described above you'll be absolutely fine x

Hiya don't do it until you are ready!i have been thinking about it for a while as the side effects are just too much for me,but I'm just really worried about coming off just in case I feel even worse. I am going onto herbal tablets instead, they are a lot better,if I knew about them before starting sertraline I would of gone for them! I will let you know how I got on smile

I guess you just know it,I mean a few months ago I didn't even want to leave the house and even thinking about going away for a few days made me feel sick! But I've managed to go away for a few days and I really enjoyed it! You will know when you are ready!just don't rush it x
