Weaning off sertraline after 2.5 months advice

Hi
I've been on sertraline 50mg since late November and frankly I think my feeling down could be situational and simply caused by another known factor. Anywho I want to wean off them and was thinking 2 weeks of 25mg daily and then every second day for another week?
Any suggestions

Good for you coming off them and as you haven't taken them for long hopefully that will help with withdrawal. Don't know how you felt going on them re side effects but that's probably what to expect coming off them. The general advice is in order to minimise damage is to reduce slowly.
reducing by 50% in one go is a bit drastic for your system maybe try 25% reduction for a couple of weeks and if you feel ok go down another 25% for two weeks and so on. I don't think missing out days is good as it may cause sudden imbalances.
im coming off them now (2nd attempt), the first time I did what the go recommended and reduced to 25mg for two weeks, however I suffered horrific effects and had to reinstate to 50 until I stabilised, I then waited a month before I began again. So now I've been tapering my 50mgs over the last 3 months and hope to be off them altogether in another couple of months,
good luck, there's no rush better to avoid the nasty sometimes prolonged withdrawals.
if you need any further info search this site under 'sertraline withdrawal, does it go away' lots of info to be found there,

I'm on 25 this past week and no side effects bar poor enough sleep. 7 hours 🙈 which isn't what I need haha so I'm going to continue for another week of 25 and then 12.5 for a week and then quit. I only started on 25mg for 5 weeks and then 5 weeks of 50mg so hope the side effects won't be bad.
