Thought l was progressing reasonably well a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday wasn't good but today l haven't been able to get out of bed and have felt nauseous and disorientated. Anyone have anything similar at this stage and then get better?

hi, sorry to hear you arent great at the moment, it wont last forever and you will get through. i am 10 weeks on 100mg and have been doing rather well but like you, today especially, having a bad time. stressed, tired, low mood, anxiety, intrusive thoughts and stomach pain. fun times! im wondering if i should increase my dosage. Have you spoken to your doctor about increasing? 50mg is the starting dose and is very low. I also tend to find my symptoms get a lot worse close to and just before my period. everyday may not be good but there is good in every day x

hi, yea i am a good bit better today thanks and glad you are too even if it is a struggle. Yes i absolutely know we have to go through eough oatches in order to get better, but we would try anything to get better. Dont forget how important that is, keep looking forward and believe that it will get better, because it does

Pleased you are also better today. Thank you for the thoughtful words. Yes we must keep looking forward, so many people say that you have to go through it to get better and it does take time. You are right we would do anything to feel good again.

Yes! Sorry to hear you are having such a terrible time. I think what you are suffering from are the side effects. Hang in there. It will all get better with time. Did you increase your dosage recently? If not, then you are finally building the meds in the system.

I am on the same dose (50mg) and feel that l must stick with this for at least 12 weeks. Doctor wants me to stay on this dose. l am due to speak to my psychiatrist on Weds so l will see what she says. It is now morning for me and l have got up and going to try and have some breakfast. Still feeling quite unwell. Hope things for you are moving in the right direction, thank you for keeping in touch and giving me encouragement.

Been there myself. It's good you can get up and have breakfast. It is nighttime where I am at and so it's soon to be morning time for you in a few hours. I hope you had good sleep and I hope you are doing better today.
You have to take it moment by moment. At my worst, I remember this saying - I think it was from Goethe: "Do not expect the day to be gods." So hang in there. At my worst, getting out of bed to take a shower was my accomplishment of the day. And all I could consume a day was an apple and a glass of milk. But I went through it and came out on the better end, and so will you!

You are so good in taking time to give encouragement, your comments and experiences certainly help. Today has been better and l have had times when l can believe that l will pull through in the end. Nearly 12 weeks so have to be patient a while longer, l know it takes time from the posts written by other people. lt is nearly evening meal time for me. Thank you.

Good to hear about your good days. Life is simple, a little something to do, something to see, and something to hope. And no need to thank me. All glory goes to God - it is He who kept me alive so I can do this for Him. x

It's a roller coaster with setbacks but eventually you will be your old self again and this will all be in your rearview mirror. I'm sure the down days are awful after making progress but it is apparently very typical of the way anti-depressants work. I cared for my daughter through this and she definitely had a similar situation with high s and lows - but she has been 100% recovered for over a year. xo
