Week 3

Hi everyone!

I started 50mg of sertraline 3 weeks go. 1st initial week was awful.. I had really bad nausea, dizziness, insomnia etc it all seemed to settle down going into week 2 & felt a little more ‘normal’. Now in week 3 & feeling awful again, nausea, racing heart, tiredness, high anxiety, headaches. Last night I felt very scared by it all. Felt like I had no control over my body.

Is anyone else on week 3? I know it’s still early days but feel like I’ve taken 10 steps forward & about 50 back at the moment.

Hello Bee, I'm on week 17 but i do remember when i started on med and indeed was scared of all side effects. I had extreme anxiety that would go into anxiety attacks. Also had days when new effects would pop its ugly head. This med is slow acting and there will be days that it seems like your starting to slip back . So hang in there, always let your doctor know if theres something that doesn't seem right.take care.😎

I am in week 2 and 3 and have experienced severe insomnia in the last two days; not able to sleep at all. Not  helped by the hot weather in England at the moment. Also, no appetite.

I took Sertraline for a couple of months at the end of last year and have recently felt the need to go back on. only a week and I feel like I am getting worse daily no interest constantly sleeping don't want to see anyone or go out. To top it all I have just been given a high dose of antibiotics for my bronchiectasis. However on research it appears neither medication interferes with the other. Hate this feeling of hopelesness
