Hi Anne, do not worry. This is all quite normal. It can take a lot longer than 3 weeks to start to feel better. Also, diarrhea is a very common side effect of SSRI's, e.g. Sertraline. Good luck and hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi Anne, as serotonin has said 3 weeks is still too early for any improvement, although you may not want to know this, it is more like 12 weeks before you will see the full benefits, although you should get some windows of feeling better before that, mostly in the evenings. With regards to your other problem, it is a common side effect because there is sertonin in your stomach as well as your brain so the medication also affects that. It should all clear up within another week or 2 but if it is really getting to you speak to your pharmacy they will be able to give you something to help

      HI SUE

Thank you for replying and your advice , Doctors just give you the tablets and that it , get on with it until your next appointment . So i think that writing down things about moods and feelings will help when i go back .

that is a very good idea anne, also keeping a diary seems to help a lot of people see how far they have actually come on the days that they feel they aren't making any progress
