Week 3 Post ORIF ankle surgery

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi, I had an accident (slipped and fell from stairs), broken my right ankle (fibula and medial malleolus). I underwent ORIF surgery, had 13 screws and 2 plates overall and is now on my week 3 on walking boot but NWB. I was told to do some exercises like moving my toes and slight movement of ankle. But I find it very hard to move and sometimes can't control that it would suddenly move towards me and would be quite painful. I also find it hard to move my big toe. Is this normal? Any advise? Thank you.
