Week 4 and still feel bad

Posted , 6 users are following.

God knows how many times I've posted in here now. Week 4 and still feel horrible. My jaw is in so much pain from the clenching, I went from extreme pain in my stomach from not being able to go to the bathroom to can't stop going, I either have no appetite or want to eat everything in site, my anxiety is either manageable to the point where I can do daily tasks around the house or unmanageable to the point where I can't leave my bed. getting very hopeless. Still can't leave my house with out freaking out. Anxiety does not seem any better. This is horrible

    Hi

Maybe your dose is wrong? How much are you taking per day?

I hope that happens for me soon. The doctor told me to be patient with it

Just curious, did your doctor make you aware of all the side affects or just hand you a pill. Seems many just dole ot the antidepresants and make a person feel it will be an immediate cure all.

Yes I was made well aware of the side effects. I started on 12.5 then upped to 25mg and then back down to 12.5

yes many Drs are not aware..or educated on the individual effects of these very strong medications .. I started on 25mg..upped to 75mg over a3 month period..never got did of the side effects..stomach problems, clenching jaw, headaches, diahrea.....every time I mentioned these symptoms to my physiatrist , she would seem surprised..and would leave the decision to increase or decrease to me..needless to say, I am tapering OFF sertraline..I have gone very slow..now on my last week at 12.5 mg..feeling SO much better..the fog is lifting..it is not a medication for everyone..I was being treated for insomnia..and related problems. my doctor put me on lorazepam to ease my anxiety..helps some..sleep is still a struggle..but not as bad as the side effects of sertraline.. good luck

    Hi

Was on sertraline for 4weeks never felt so awful in my life.

I have a phobia of diarhoe and it gave me the worst diarhoe ever plus other side effects.

After a lot of thinking decided to stop taking felt better within couple days.

Theses meds just wernt right for me.they do work for some people(but by lot of comments only for a while).

I think maybe mirtazapene might be more suited to me as you take at night.

    Good luck

Let me know how you get on

Thank you guys. I personally think no SSRI will work for me. This is now my 3rd one for anxiety and panic and I still feel as bad as I did before going on any meds
