Posted , 3 users are following.
Sorry for going over old ground.
But I'm 6week 2 days of taking 25mg of sertraline for health anxiety.
I looking for someone who is at the same stage as me.
Or there abouts.
I'm getting alot of side effects still.
Dizzy, nausea. Spaced out. Funny sensation in my arms and hands.
Sleeping ok. Off my food. Tiredness it's been every day since last sunday
I'm just wondering if anyone at this stage is still feeling yuk.
I'm getting worried that this is not going to get any better,

Hello i meant to reply the other day
This may seem unhelpful but, i had those symptoms and now i think they were the easy ones. My throat is the worst feels like. Being strangled/choking lump also the bad chest I've had for so long now
I'm totally fedup so don't worry it is not just you. Hopefully your symptoms won't get any worse I'm seriously considering just stopping aly tablets maybe that will get me back to normal

Hi. Carl.
How long have you been on them for and what
strenghth.
They can cause acid Reflux and you seem to have all the
symptoms. Iv suffered reflux for years, before I started on
these. Look it up and it see what you think, there is alot you
can do to ease it.
I'm giving it another 2 weeks to see if it eases if not I'm going
back to my GP about changing Meds.
Hope you get sorted it's horrible thinking that tomoro might not
bring us relieve

You see i thought it was reflux but Im on medication for over a month for that now but it's still no difference
So know I'm like worse as what i always thought was acid reflux I'm now starting to think it's not.
I go to bed every night thinking tomorrow these problems might go.
They never do, or if they do another one will start.
I don't know if my symptoms are real or there because of my mind. I thought i had a chest/throat infection but I've had it for over two months now. I want to stop the tablets I'd rather have anxiety than all of these physical symptoms.
Ppl tell me i cant just quit them i have to wean off them.
I'm sorry I'm just so fed up. Where did all of this come from

What Meds are you on for the reflux. I was on lansoprosole.
And gaviscon when needed.
Anxiety makes reflux worse, since iv calmed down my reflux is
controlled by diet and gaviscon only now.
Certain food and drinks you should avoid.
It's been a long 6 weeks. Just hope tomoro is a better day for us
both.

Yes thanks
You seem to have a good attitude about it
I'm just banging my head against a wall now it's just so annoying. I shall have a look tomorrow what exact meds I'm on I'm also on propranolol aswell as the others for reflux and sertraline

Propranolol comes with side effects too.
It may not be the sertraline.
If you don't mind me asking why are you on both.
Because doesn't Propranolol treat anxiety too??

I'm not sure the propranolol was prescribed from day 1 with the sertraline, looking back I was really struggling at the time had alot of life changing things hit me within a month of each other. Although i was stressed and believe I must of had some kind of breakdown i never used to have these constant physical symptoms
It's literally like i have swapped one for the other
I have become a hypochondriac but these problems are definitely there i now always think there is something seriously wrong with me

I would go back to your GP, and before you go write down
thing you want to ask, about the medication your on.
One or the other may not be agreeing with you.
I was put on beta blockers to calm my heart rate,
Honestly I thought I had every think going, so your not aloan on
that one, but had to come off those it slowed my heart rate down
And I was passing out and other symptons. Not every medication
suits us.
I offence go to bed listening to my heart beat in my ears, which
Would freak me out. so I
Would go to bed with earphones on listening to music so I
Couldn't hear my heart.
But please go talk to a gp. I did find one in the end that did listen.
She's helped me loads.
