Hi,
I’m into my 6th week on 50mg, it will be 7 on Monday and the last few days I felt terrible with increased anxiety. I thought it may of levelled out now I’m nearly at week 7. Should I give it another few weeks or speak to the GP about upping my dose?
Thanks

I had 4 weeks on 50mg and was having blips every 10 days. So, Dr upped me to 100mg. I was terrified that I'd get twice as bad side effects but nothing happened. After a further 2 weeks I had another blip, which I found very disheartening. However, it will be 4 weeks this coming weekend since starting 100mg and finally I feel more like my old self. I have the odd headache and yesterday I had 2 migraines in the space of 5 hours but apart from that my anxiety/depression has lifted.....thank goodness.

I so hope that this will be my situation as I am now on my 6th week (50 days) on 50 Mg and was getting better and better up until last Sunday where everything crashed. Major anxiety that wouldn't leave me at all.
I started Zoloft on August 2nd cross tapering from Paxil 40 Mg which pooped out in March at 20 Mg. Doc raised my Paxil dosage up to 40 Mg before we swaped Paxil to Zoloft. I have been having anxiety daily for 6 months now (minus 5 days last week where things were getting good).
Now doc raised dose to 100 Mg. Second day at 75 Mg. Still major anxiety from morning to evening. Breathing, meditation, relaxation barely work. I just want this to be under control so I can take my life back.

On 50mg I had the worst panic attack I've ever had. Bad enough that I went to the hospital because I thought I was going to die. I'm on 200mg now and I feel great.
My experience has been that on any dose if you feel good and then things start to slide, you need an increase in dosage. Haters gonna hate that I said that, but it is absolutely true.

Hi
50mg is the starting dose, definitely go back to the GP and request a higher dosage. You shouldn't get increased side effects either.
