Week 7 after TAH

Here I am a week before my son's wedding feeling so good. I am so grateful that I bounced back so quickly and didn't have all the problems I thought I would. The only negative is when I've done to much standing or walking my tummy swells up and is so tender to touch. Took a two hour car drive had to use my pillow for that but been driving since week 6 just couldn't do it before then. For me I think the reason is basically I didn't have all the fibroids they said I had in fact I had little lesions instead of the 8 smaller ones they said I had. My ovaries were fine but they never said they weren't. I am still not picking up anything heavy just because of the wedding. If I pick anything up it only gets carried a short way. Anything I pick up from the floor I bend my knees. Drinking 2 liters of water a day is still key for me. I walk everyday and am doing all household chores except for vacuuming. For some reason that and moping bother my tummy to much so going to leave it another week. I have also noticed that when in the car rather driving or not and rather I have just peed or not 5 mins. down the road I must pee. I have been doing my kegel exercies so not sure what that is about unless I didn't use my pillow enough at the beginning. The best part I bought my first pair of longed for white jeans.

hi  Billie - its good to hear a positive story so I thought I would keep it going.

I am at 3.5 weeks post TVH and feeling great.  I am walking 5.5 miles a day, driving short distances and doing everything apart from lifting.  I spent 2 nights in hospital and was glad to get home. My son stayed one night with  me and other than that I was on my own.

I really tried to get my fitness levels up before I went in and I am sure that this is key to my recover.

So glad I decided to go ahead with the op as I was dead against it before.

    Onwards and upwards!!

I'm just over two weeks post op (TAH) and feeling great.  My scar is healing very well.  Get minor pains now and again but nothing too bad.  I haven't lost any blood at all which I am quite surprised at and didn't have a drain in the hospital either.  I have lifted a few things I'm not supposed to as I feel so well I forget. I mop the kitchen but haven't hoovered cos the Hoover is heavy to push.

Glad everyone is doing well cheesygrin
