Week 9 update

Hey guys, just thought id update yall.

Its week 9, i took 25mg for 2weeks, then 50mg for 2 weeks and now its been 4 weeks on 75mg.

The past 2 weeks were okay, im not having insomnia anymore, if anything i sleep too much. Anxiety has been managable, its still there but not nearly as bad. My depression is worse though especially in the mornings.

I smoke weed fairly regularly and have decided to take a break and see how that effects me. Im tired of feeling like crap. Feeling like ill never be myself again, and honestly im

Not really convinced the meds are helping me become myself. They seem to just mask the problem but in moments of weakness i still feel the full brunt of my depression.

I am starting to think the key to recovery lies more in drastic life changes than a magic pill.

I will continue to take sertraline for now, but if i dont see drastic improvement soon i am going to have to discontinue it,  because so far the side effects of sexual dysfunction and emotional flatness isnt worth it in the long run.

Hope youre all doing well. Take care.

Feel free to leave your own updates in the comments, im always curious how the rest of you are doing.

I’m starting setraline on Thursday and nervous as one been on mirtazapine for 10 years and have tried chlomipramine, venaflaxine, citlapam and duloxetine in between with horrible side affects . Came off duloxetine last Tuesday after being on it for six weeks. Really hoping the setraline will make a difference

Hi Dylan.   I used to smoke a lot of weed many moons ago and i couldn’t see at the time how much it impacted on my mental health.   If I were you I would knock the weed on the head for a month before you quit sertraline, see if it’s the weed that is pulling you down, I don’t think the two mix well together.  X
