Weeks of Anxiety about Health, terrified and have tests upcoming!

I started to feel a little off a few weeks ago, back pain, went to doctors did blood tests, everything was fine, gave me some prescription NSAID's and then a few weeks later, I started to get stomach acid, burning my stomach, I went to another doctors as my back pain still did not go away, they diagnosed me with intercostal neuralgia and prescribed the same treatment, I also restarted citalopram which I had been off for a few months.
Safe to say, my anxiety at this stage was already high, thinking of numerous cancers of the Gi tract! I was on Holiday and started to get additional problems, my heartburn was constant, stomach burning constant, Burping more often, dry mouth, nausea and then eventuall on the last day, just could not eat. Started having bad anxiety and panic attacks.
I went back to the doctors over the fear of Stomach Cancer, as my dad passed from this in his 40's. She did a physical check, didnt feel any lumps, swelling or abnormalities, she checked my bloods, some fell outside of the normal range however she put this down to the medications I have been on which can adversely impact and also 2 days without eating or drinking much water. Also, the blood test, although out of range on theirs, is in range on-line when checking so it got me confused, but she told me, these are nothing to worry about. I am now scheduled for an endoscopy next week and she did tell me she did not expect them to find anything, she believes the acid burn and burning stomach is from use of the prescription NSAIDs as I took them for about 8 days on top of Ibuprofen so she believes these are side effects of this, and the dry mouth, shaking, sweating and feeling lethargic and loss of apatite is from citalopram side effects.
Safe to say, I know I am being non logical with my thinking, I have been in the best shape of my life the last 2 years, lean, healthy diet, dont smoke, dont drink heavily, so the likely hood of being serious must be pretty small and the doctor wouldnt say she doesnt expect them to find anything if there was a chance, but my anxiety if through the roof and just looking for some support.
Thanks

Gary, when we have anxiety it very often produces negative thoughts that are not based on facts or reality. It’s good to be aware of this so that you can relax a little bit.
Trust your doctor because it sounds like she knows what she’s talking about.
Many people get Side effects from different medication‘s they are taking. That is logical.
The medication as you are taking along with anxiety about everything can definitely produce symptoms you are having including heartburn and stomach burning sensations. I have had those symptoms numerous times due to my long-term anxiety.
I think you’re going to be fine. remember, our thoughts that are negative are simply just that. They are thoughts but not based on anything real. That is something that I had to learn. take care!

Thank you
Yeah I know my logical side states the chances of something serious are below I think 0.3% from stats I read up on, and on top of that, before all this was in best shape I have ever been in, everyone commented how energetic I was, how much energy, always positive so I think just Ugly Health Anxiety come back to pay me a visit because things were going too well. Ok, well after my tests, I should be clear and ready to battle again!
