Weight bearing muscles spasms

Hi all,

Anyone else having muscle spasms after weight bearing? They are not painful at all, but they happen a lot. I am walking slowly on my own now mostly barefoot around the house, but outside sometimes too with shoes on. I go to an appt. on May 7th and will mention it, but thought I would check in here as well. Anyone else? Thank you !!

Hi I have two plates and twelve screws in my right ankle. My foot definitely spasmed when i first started weight bearing. My foot still does spasm sometimes, even after six months. i think its partially my nerves still waking up. Over time those spasms should go away. Keep walking, Its still hard for me to stand for long periods of time and to walk long distances. It gets easier each day.

If you like bananas add one to your breakfast each morning Full of potassium which aids in spasms

Im almost 9 months post op and yesterday helped in a dog adoption even and I was on my feet from around 8 am-5 pm

Im one hurting lady today and even had several spasms last night

It was a very physical day walking dogs, cleaning, picking dogs up etc

I carry my iphone in my pocket and when I checked last night I had logged over 20,000 steps for the day

    I average 10-12k a day so I was surprised to see 20k!!!

So today I'll take it easy!

Your ankle will let you know when to rest

I let the ankle run the day!!!
